Client Story #1

We were aggressively pursuing the business of a leading semiconductor company.  For many months, we had not made any progress or received any opportunities to quote.  We remained politely persistent and finally received a bid opportunity – but with a 5-day turn.  We submitted a quote within hours of receipt, but were informed that the company was still waiting for their current supplier’s response.  They would not make a decision until having that information.  The next day, a response still hadn’t been received, and we were told the decision would again be delayed. 

 

On the third day, there was still no response from the existing supplier.  At this point, the buyer decided to give us the opportunity, realizing that we could have been half finished with fabrication before our competitor even submitted their bid.  We are proud to say that after just one year of doing business with this client, we earned 97% of their PCB requirements.

Client Story #2

The end-of-the-year crunch is a hectic time for any company. With holidays, personnel vacations and the rush to close business, both suppliers and end-users have to be performing at their best. As 2007 came to a close, we were faced with the challenge to fulfill a quick-turn order that had an extra twist – the order was for an 8-layer, HDI/laser microvia design.

While the board technology itself was too complex for many suppliers, we were confident we could handle it. The real challenge was to get product shipped the first week of the new year. The Q-Fab team responded in full force. We were able to ship this complex design so our customer received it four days earlier than expected. Sure, we were pleased, but the best part was the email our customer sent us the day they received the shipment. The subject line said it all: “Really super impressed.”
